![]() I tried installing it in the Mod tab and now the game launches but I get a "Shutting down internal server" and "Unkown error" when the game try to get me in the world. I tried a second method, I extracted Optifine to have the mod file itself : "OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_E3_MOD.jar". It's showing me a bunch of errors in the console and the game isn't even launching. I took the example for 1.12.2 and changed the filename from "OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_E2.jar" to "OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_E3.jar" in the JSON file (cause I'm using the newest Optifine version for 1.12.2). The modpack is called Life in the Village and it needs Minecraft 1.12.2. It's great and it's working but it's a bit laggy sometimes so I would like to install Optifine. It's new for me so I used MultiMC to get everything working. You can find a list of performance mods for Forge here.Hi, I wanted to try to play with a modpack. There, search for Oculus, click on it, click Select mod for download, and then press OK. ![]() ![]() To install in PolyMC, create an instance with the Forge loader, and then go to the Mods tab, click Download Mods. Be aware of the statements above before using it. ![]() There, search for Rubidium, click on it, click Select mod for download, and then press OK. If you have issues, use OptiFine.ĭon't report issues with those on upstream's Discord support channels! Rubidium # While on some modpacks/with some mods they're going to work good, with others they might be very unstable so be well aware of what you're doing. Unlike on Fabric/Quilt, most unofficial ports of OptiFine alternatives for Forge might have some compatibility/stability issues. These instructions will work for PolyMC too. See the MultiMC/MultiMC (auto-update) guide for help installing it. If you don't want to search, and install these mods manually, then try the Fabulously Optimized modpack. If you would like to go a bit further, LambdAurora maintains a very detailed list of OptiFine alternatives for Fabric and Quilt, which you can find here. If you want to further improve your performance, please also consider installing Lithium and Starlight! There, click on Iris, click Select mod for download, and then press OK. To install in PolyMC, create an instance with the Fabric (or Quilt) loader, and then go to the Mods tab and click Download Mods. ![]() You can find a list of currently supported shaderpacks here. It works well, but doesn't yet support every shader. Iris allows you to use OptiFine shaderpacks, while also running Sodium. There, click on Sodium, click Select mod for download, and then press OK. Sodium is the best client-side optimisation mod available at the moment, and we highly recommend installing it when possible. NOTE: Most Fabric mods require the Fabric API mod in order to work, while most Quilt mods require Quilted Fabric API to work. Once upon a time, OptiFine was the way, to make your game better, faster, and stronger. ![]()
